Engine install?

Post by LH95sohc »

Hey does anyone know where I can find a good shop or mechanic that will be able to put in a new motor for me... I would do it myself but I dont have access to a lift that can lift the whole car up  . I have plenty of floor jacks, but I dont think that will cut it....

You want to lift the engine, not lift the car

You can do it both ways. I would personally go out the top.

Well from what I learned, its easier to take the engine out through the bottom since the tranny has to come apart from the block. Is it better to go through the top because I have to pull the old motor out anyways

I messaged him the day before yesterday but didnt get any response. I know that im gonna need to have the car running by next weekend. So I need to get shit figured out quick. If someone could install my new rods that have for my bottom end that would save me from buying a motor.( but then again a 2.4 is sounding pretty good rite now)
