Anyone Else out there hate civics??????

Is it just me, or are there a lot of people out there in the Tri-State area that hates CIVICS..... I cant stand them sometimes. Around the reynoldsburg and Pickerington suburbs in columbus there are so many of them its DISGUSTING...

so I ask does anyone else besides my gf hate civcs too?????

I don't hate them but I don't have a lot of respect for them since a lot of owners have this cocky attitude that think their car is absolute greatest in the world and it can destroy anything. Plus every time I go out at night I've always got atleast one high school kid in a civic wanting to race me, I get fucking tired of it. I just wanna get from point A to B without some punk trying to race me.

I cant hate them too much, I have one for a beater and it's been pretty good to me.

I've recently met a couple really cool Civic owners, one has a bad ass EK coupe with a turbo B18, and the other is a master at Honda ECU programming and tuning. Both very straight-up guys, no ricer mentality at all. Personally I don't think I would ever own a Civic (or other Honda) to mod though, just because I consider them to be a "me too" car.

I don't hate any particular car model, but I often hate the drivers. Hating "Civics" in my opinion is stupid and counterproductive to the automotive hobby as a whole. Hate people who put together horribly distasteful ricemobiles of any brand, not just a particular type of car.

IMO hating Hondas/Civics is soooo 3 years ago, a lot has changed since then. Anymore I see Hondas getting made fun of just as much as Neons. Honda's popularity has gone down and the Neon has won more respect partially due to the SRT4.

Sorry for the wordy responce, I just spend a lot of time thinking about stupid shit like this.

I dont mind civics as a car per say, but I dont like the young drivers that see that they should race you because you have an exhaust or any other mods on your car. I hate driving on the freeway on a friday nite and someone in a civic sees it as their duty to be hard and pass you and slow down and pass you again. It gets old!!! I have a friend that drives a slammed ex but he doesnt act like that at all. The cars are reliable, dont get me wrong I just dont like the drivers who try to race anyone and evrey one. I'd still pick a neon over a civic anyday....

I guess I am not as jaded about Honda drivers because they never mess with me. My ACR with bolt ons runs (ran - pending repair of body damage) faster than most of the n/a swapped hatches around here, so maybe they just don't even want a piece.

yea, i'm with vinny. i hate most the civic drivers out there (like jason said, the cocky ones that think they have the greatest car in the world). i have yet to meet one that shows any respect to a person that mods neons such as myself. while i don't hate the civic per se, i don't particularly like it either. the styling has never really impressed me, and the power numbers (mainly the torque) are quite embarassing even if it's only a 1.6L engine.

Again I guess I've been lucky. I've never seriously been dissed on for my Neons, by a Honda owner or anyone really. Sure friendly teasing and what not, but in all actuality none of the honda owners i have met have had anything really negative to say. Some have even been very interested in it and what an ACR is and I have done with it.

This p.o.s civic pulls up next to me on a two lane straight away at about 3 a.m. on my way back from lafayette. "he's" all revving at about 5,000 rpms and i just floor it for a while, shuts "him" up for the time being... lights are changing and the world stands still... the honda world... meanwhile i'm already half way down the strip and that retard is still sitting there... at the next light the civic pulls up and the window rolls down its a chick with tears streaming down her cheeks i get all soft and just as the light turns green she floors it off the line... but that ricer can't touch the neener! no damn mascara running can stop this 2.0!

but she followed me to wendy's and we had a great late night snack and talked about her shitter... it was great and fun and i told her i'd call her if she got a neon... haha great kill tho!

i feel sorry for civics... i used to install the mods on my buddies 99 EX so he could at least try to give me some competition... sadly, he still couldnt touch me.

he sold the civic and bought a 2k3 neon... lol
