Car will look sweet wheels tucked and draggin the ground
so, i got a "new" car...*EDIT* now with pics!!
No need to bag it, just drop it on its balls. Crank down the torsion bars in the front, and lowering blocks in the back, unless your springs are worn enough and you dont need them lol.
Damn it's got air even!
I bet it'll fire. My dude has a '54 Dodge Meadowbrook and they did basically what you said, and besides the carb not working well it fired right up.

i need a fuckin battery... i spent this months "car" budget on tune up stuff, and borrowed a used battery from my father in law, but its fried. so, now i have to track down another batt. or wait a damn month to buy a new one...
anyhow, the hubcaps and fender skirts are in the trunk, so, as soon as i get the rest of the keys (and title) from my grandfather i'll be able to open the trunk and see what other treasures await me. i do want to drop the ass a little, give it that tugboat stance, and ill be rockin Chrysler Division hubcaps and black primer. once the body gets straightened out im going to re-paint it the factory color (Turbine Bronze Metallic, cool name huh?) and black out the grill and tail-lamp bezels, lose all the side moldings and 50 percent tint the windows (it would look cheesy with limo black windows, dont ya think?). it has stainless steel trim around the windows and roof line, thats going to stay. i cant decide if i should go simple and just do dual exhaust out the back, or do dual side exit in front of the rear tires. either way there is plenty of room to run decent mufflers so its not retarded-loud.
after all that, i may decide to rebuild the motor. i just found out that the shop behind my house (the landlords shop) has a bunch of machine-shop tools, and a guy who does crankshaft work. so it'll get crank work, an RV cam, 4 bbl intake and carb, 10 to 1 pistons, 3 angle valve job and forged rods (for the 100 shot fogger kit
)
that stuff should put me in the 350hp/450trq. range off the bottle.
but that will be a ways off, the goal before the end of the summer is get it running/driving/stopping, and primer.

just remember, killer is sneaky... and, he hates you.
Do exhaust out the back. I don't think side exhaust would look right on it.
I'd look at dropping a 440 in it personally. If you are going to rebuild the current motor anyway it seems like you would be able to put a 440 in it selling off the 383 and not have much more money into it with more than 50 addl. CID.

i dont know, ive always liked the 383 for some reason... my first tear down and re-assemble in high school auto shop was a chrysler 383. besides, im not looking for insane power, just a nice cruiser with a little kick. the nitrous would only be for special occasions.
