hey guys, Someone from Indy just told me that its a $10,000 fine if you are pulled over and the cop finds out that you have no cat. is that true??? if so then CRAP

No, I really doubt it. Its a fine but no cop is gonna pull you over and crawl under your car to see if it has a cat randomly. Hardly anyone here has a cat unless its a new car. California, then yes most likely!

$10,000 are you f*ckin kiddin me! I highly HIGHLY doubt that... Like tyler said there is prolly a fine, but not that high of a fine! Plus I mean a cop REALLY has to have a reason to check under your car.. lol otherwise why would he check anything

There is a small fix it ticket and they will check if they think it doesn't have one and if they feel like it. I know of at least one that was checked due to the exhausts sound, but on the other hand I have a friend that has had 2 different catless cars (slow Eclipse and now a WRX) with full open exhausts and straight through fart cans and he's never been checked or stopped. It's easy to tell newer cars running without their cat, they blow blue/black out the exhaust and you can easily smell it's vomit enducing stench from a good distance.
