helpin out a neon newbie, broken axle

i was at the track tonight, consistent with about 15.6@87.7, and there was this other guy with a 95 MTX neon, and he brock his left axle at the outer cv joint, and his wheels are 4 lug, so my question is, will any 1gn MTX left side axle work for his car, or do i have to get that specific model. im gonna be up and outta the house in like 12 or so hours to go and help him with replacing it, so if anyone reading this knows anything about this, i kinda need an answer ASAP, not tryin to be a poopyhead, just gotta get the info quick, he lives all the way accross town, so this weekend is the only time i have to help him.

all first gen axels are the same (driver side is different from passenger side)and can be picked up at autozome for around 40bux
