My neon hesitates and acts like running out of gas when I accelerate it happens after I drive about 40 mins. The check engine light comes on , and gives code 33. when my dad checked it, I know that means A/c circuit relay. But my dad disconnected the A/C and it still does it. Do not know what the A/C has to do with acceleration. Does anyone know how to fix this have found several websites with people having same problem but no fixes.

Could be the A/C compressor assembly. If the compressor clutch is screwed up it will cause those problems you are describing. That'd be my guess anyhow.

my car gives the same code 33 warning, although i havent really had any problems like you've described.

You said your Dad disconnected the A/C, did he unplug it or did he remove the belt. See what happens with the belt removed if you .haven't
