Anyone want to roll out to the new CSS cruise? It's at Sam Ash by Dave & Busters in Tri County. Starts at 9:00, et me know. I'm gonna roll out there since I'm putting the wheels on the ACR right now, even though I'm not sure if anyone I know will be there.

Do'h... I got your IM but not until I got home later.
How was it? Is it going on every sat night, if weather is good next weekend I don't THINK I'm doing anything... I should be able to go next weekend.

It was smallish, but the quality of cars there was high. I only stayed long enough to walk a lap around the lot, there wasn't anyone there I knew. Lots of VWs, including a modded R32, supercharged VR6 GTI, and an old GTI 16v turbo with a 321whp (!)dyno graph under the wiper.
They'll be doing it every Saturday, and if they keep up the way they are running it they might not lose the lot. The guy Paul who organized it is having a zero tolerance for stupidity, to the point of calling the cops if any dumb shit takes place (cops were there for one of Paul's calls when I got there). Unfortunately thats about how it has to be to have the blessing of the police and not get kicked out.

I find it amazing that all that has to be done, Up here in Michigan we have a strip called gration Rd. and Woodward, people cruise it every night and they are bigs stips so there are literally tons of cars on it at one time, the cops patrol it, but as long as your not racing they tend to leave u alone, i guess its alittle easier up here in the car capital of the world

See it sounds like the car scene is a lot bigger up there, to the point the cops can't just simply kick everyone out of somewhere. Here we will have maybe 30-40 cars trying to hang out in say a suburban Best Buy lot, and then dumbasses start trying to do burnouts, drift, bump their music, and the people at the surrounding restaurants complain to the police. Once the same thing happens over and over again for weeks, the building owners and the police start saying no. There are also groups of people who hang out downtown in some industrial areas, but they have to have a revolving group of spots because once the cops figure out there are people hanging out somewhere they come kick everyone out.
Even the Nextel meets held by some CSS people had to stop, and they were taking place at their own business. After this one douchebag in a 4th gen Camaro tried to drift out of the lot and spun out in the middle of the busy 5-lane rd. at 6:00 in the afternoon, they called it quits.

Yea no shit. Out here in Columbus, there is a lil stip mall with a Kroger call Eastpointe and every friday and saturday night, there are tons of ppl up there with there cars but they end up gettin kicked out bc stupid 16 year olds get caught with beer and shit and ppl do burnouts and thus the cops get called. And once again it is out in the suburbs where cops have nothing else better to do....
