Jesus fucking Christ, what a PITA.
Don't you hate it when you spend forever trying to figure out the source of a big problem only to find out it was the stupidest little fucking thing?
I'ma put it back together and drive it a little before I decide to procede with the turbo install or sell it.

Uh...
This battery has internally threaded connections like a motorcycle or side-terminal GM battery. One of my ring terminals was on the positive side was grounding out on the edge of the aluminum battery bracket. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting all this stuff and I completely overlooked the real problem.
I have to work this saturday (first time in over 4 years) and my goal is to drive it to work that day. I bent the ring terminal and applied some electrical tape for good measure and I'm all clear. My oil press. gauge may or may not be fried, going to call AutoMeter tech support tomorrow.

Yeah, I think I'm keeping it. Lance (my roommate), America and I will be starting the turbo install next Sunday if anyone wants to help. My goal is to have it done by the July meet, or at least the Mopar Nats.
